Terminology and Key Concepts
This page defines the terms and concepts used across the Zeqalimorix platform and this website. Having a shared vocabulary helps ensure that descriptions of the platform are interpreted consistently.
Glossary
- Classification
- The process of assigning content to a defined category within the platform. Classification determines where a piece of information appears in the review interface and how it relates to other items. It is applied to all content before it becomes visible to users.
- Category
- A defined grouping of related content within the platform. Categories are arranged in a hierarchy. Major categories contain subcategories, each with a distinct label and scope. Navigation through the platform is largely structured around moving between categories.
- Review interface
- The user-facing display layer through which classified content is presented. The review interface maintains a consistent visual format for each content type, making it straightforward to scan and compare records. It does not generate content; it displays content that has already been classified and organised.
- Content pathway
- A defined sequence of links connecting related sections of the platform. Pathways are built into the platform's structure and are not generated dynamically. They allow users to move logically from one content area to another without having to navigate from a root level each time.
- Access request
- A formal expression of interest in using part or all of the Zeqalimorix platform, submitted through the Enquiries page. An access request is reviewed by the support team and does not automatically result in access being granted. The team may seek clarification before making an assessment.
- Enquiry
- A message sent to the Zeqalimorix support team via the contact form on the Enquiries page. Enquiries may relate to access requests, questions about the platform, or requests for clarification. An enquiry is distinct from an access request in that it does not necessarily imply a request to use the platform.
- Structured information
- Information that has been organised according to a defined schema or classification framework. Within Zeqalimorix, structured information refers to content that has been assigned a category, labelled consistently, and presented through the review interface in a predictable format.
- Information-organisation system
- The broad category of digital system to which Zeqalimorix belongs. An information-organisation system is primarily concerned with arranging, classifying, and presenting existing information rather than generating new content, aggregating real-time data, or providing social or transactional functions.
- Support team
- The staff at Zeqalimorix Pty Ltd who respond to enquiries submitted through the Enquiries page. The support team handles access requests, answers questions about the platform, and provides guidance where the site does not address a specific concern. They can be reached at [email protected].
- Subcategory
- A division within a major category. Subcategories allow the classification structure to capture distinctions within a broad topic without requiring a separate top-level category for each variant. The depth and number of subcategories vary depending on the complexity and volume of content in a given area.
- Static site
- A website whose pages are delivered to the browser as pre-rendered HTML files without server-side processing at the time of each request. The zeqalimorix.com informational website is a static site. This means it does not run server-side logic in response to user actions such as form submissions.
A Note on Vocabulary Choices
The language used across this site has been chosen deliberately. Terms such as "classification", "review interface", and "content pathway" are used consistently rather than interchangeably with synonyms. This consistency is intentional: it allows readers to build a stable mental model of the platform as they read across different pages.
Where a term is qualified (for example, "structured information" rather than just "information"), the qualifier carries meaning. Structured information has been organised according to the platform's classification framework. Unstructured information has not, and is not present in the active review interface.
If you encounter a term on this site that is not defined here, please contact the support team through the Enquiries page.
